Vitamin C in chewable form is convenient for both adults and children. Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin and must be ingested from food. Vitamin C is important for the growth and repair of tissues throughout the body. With the help of vitamin C, collagen is synthesized in the body - an important protein that takes part in the regeneration of skin cells, cartilage, tendons, ligaments, bones, teeth. Vitamin C strengthens the walls of blood vessels and is essential for wound healing. Vitamin C is an antioxidant that blocks some of the damage caused by free radicals, substances that damage DNA. Signs of vitamin C deficiency are noticeable and manifest in dry and brittle hair, inflammation and bleeding gums. The condition of the skin is disturbed and it becomes rough, dry, flaky. Vitamin C deficiency often manifests itself in the form of nosebleeds, reduced ability to resist infections, and so on.
