Vitamin K is a fat-soluble vitamin.
Usually used to reduce the risk of bleeding, liver disease, or long-term antibiotic use. Most of this vitamin in leafy greens (all kinds of salads and cabbage). Please note that freezing foods can destroy the vitamin. It is also found in chicken eggs, fish oil, milk and dairy products, pork and beef liver, green peas, asparagus, pumpkin, tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, cereals, soybean and olive oil.
Only half of the daily dose of vitamin K comes to us with food. The rest is produced by intestinal bacteria (with good bowel function). But, as a rule, its reserves in our body are very small.
As a dietary supplement, vitamin K is available in tablets, capsules, and also in liquid forms.
The recommended daily dose for adults is 60-120 mcg, for children (depending on age) 10-60 mcg. For more detailed advice, you can contact the manager at the Biotus website.
