Beta Plus™ is a source of bile salts, digestive enzymes and organic beetroot concentrate, as well as SOD and catalase. Consider this if you have had your gallbladder removed or need additional bile salts. Bile is a liquid that ranges in color from dark green to yellowish brown. It is produced by the liver in most vertebrates and aids in the digestion of lipids in the small intestine. In addition to its digestive function, bile also serves as a pathway for the elimination of bilirubin, a by-product of red blood cells recycled by the liver. Bilirubin is removed from hemoglobin by glucuronidation.
