Probiotics, Probiotic, Florastor is a product from live freeze-dried yeast cells of the Saccharomyces boulardii species. Florastor is a brand name of Saccharomyces boulardii. Cells are placed in capsules and sealed . each Florastor capsule contains 250mg of S. boulardii. The product is made using a process called lyophilization (freeze-drying), which preserves billions of live S. boulardii cells in powder form. Biocodex is still an independent French pharmaceutical company with subsidiaries in the United States.
