Tri-Metabolic Control™ combines clinically studied betel leaf (Piper betle) and dolichos biflorus seed extracts, plus Acetyl-L-Carnitine to support three metabolic hormones: adiponectin, leptin, and ghrelin, to help control appetite, satiety, and fat metabolism. Along with synthetic ghrelin mimetics, ghrelin increases body weight and fat mass by inducing receptors in the arcuate nucleus, including orexigenic neuropeptide Y (NPY) and agouti-like protein (AgRP). Leptin, also a hormone, targets receptors in the arcuate nucleus of the hypothalamus to regulate appetite and achieve energy homeostasis.
