Lutein is the main carotenoid found in the macula, the central region of the retina. The main role played by lutein is the ability to filter out the harmful ultraviolet and blue spectrum of sunlight, the ability to protect the retina from radiation and damage that leads to macular degeneration and visual impairment. Lutein enters the body from food, accumulates in the macula and acts as a protective barrier, retaining about 80% of harmful rays. Use: Adults take 1 gel capsule 1-2 times a day, preferably with meals.

Other Ingredients: gelatin, soybean oil, sunflower oil, vegetable glycerin.  Contains <2%: mixture of natural tocopherols, yellow beeswax.

Does not contain: artificial colors, flavors and sweeteners, preservatives, sugar, starch, milk, lactose, gluten, wheat, yeast, fish, sodium.
