Quercetin is the most powerful antioxidant among flavonoids, belonging to the vitamin preparations of the P group. Quercetin is a “protector” of the cell membrane from the effects of free radicals, strengthens the walls of small vessels (capillaries), therefore used in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases, has a pronounced anti-allergic effect (prevents the production of histamine and serotonin). Quercetin is used for arthritis, asthma, and other inflammatory conditions. Successfully fights viral infections. By strengthening the immune system, quercetin promotes the production of detoxifying enzymes that rid the body of carcinogens and promote their elimination (for various types of cancer).
