Description

Corn grits (medium grind) is a good source of low fat fiber. Wild corn crepe is perfect for making a delicious, nutritious porridge for breakfast, lunch or dinner. For lunch or dinner, add butter, cheese or gravy to the porridge and you can enjoy a great meal. Porridge is very popular and is a staple among many nations. The product does not contain ingredients that are a product of genetic engineering. Corn is grown without the use of pesticides and other chemical ingredients.

Foods made from whole grains contain all the essential components and nutrients of natural origin found in whole grains. Diet with low in fat, rich in whole grains and other plant foods, may reduce the risk of heart disease and certain types of cancer.

Cooking: pancake recipe: 1 cup boiling water; 3/4 cups cornmeal; 1 1/4 cups buttermilk or 1 cup sour milk; 2 eggs; 1 cup sifted unbleached whole wheat flour; 1 tbsp. baking powder; 1 teaspoon salt; 1/4 teaspoon baking soda; 1/4 cup oil.

Pour water over cornmeal, stir, add milk;  eggs. Sift flour, baking powder, salt and soda. Add to corn mixture. Stir in oil. Bake in a hot frying pan. 14 pancakes.

* To make fresh milk sour, add about one tablespoon of vinegar to a glass of milk.

 Other Ingredients:  whole grain corn.
