Vegetable Glycerin, Vegetable Glycerin by the American manufacturer De La Cruz is an odorless liquid, thick and viscous, slowly evaporating and leaving oil traces, made from vegetable oils, usually palm or sunflower. An affordable ingredient, glycerin has a number of valuable properties that are used in cosmetic products and herbal tinctures. Vegetable glycerin (there is also animal and synthetic) is produced using an extraction process called hydrolysis.
