Melatonin is a hormone that allows a person to distinguish between circadian rhythms, that is, to respond to the change of night and day. Since 70% of this hormone is produced at night, it can safely be called the 'sleep hormone'. During sleep, melatonin restores strength, strengthens and, one might say, repairs our body. People who do not receive the required amount of this hormone (due to night work, nocturnal lifestyle, insomnia, increased daylight hours, tobacco, caffeine, alcohol, antidepressants, age, etc. To prevent the loss of this hormone, you should follow some simple rules : go to bed on time (before 12 a.m.), while turning off all light sources; eat the following foods in the diet: rice, raisins, nuts, parsley, corn, tomatoes, radishes, figs, carrots. But, unfortunately, only consumption certain products does not guarantee complete saturation of the body with this hormone, since the absorption of melatonin from them is extremely low. You can learn more about this and other useful products on the Biotus website.
