Proresolvent mediators (PRMs) are the end products of EPA and DHA metabolism in the body. Thorne Pro-Resolving Mediators includes the precursors the body needs to make pro-resolving mediators - two pro-resolving mediators 17-HDHA and 14-HDHA from DHA and one pro-resolving mediator 18-HEPE from EPA, as well as their parents, EPA and DHA to provide the strongest support for a balanced inflammatory response. A balanced inflammatory response helps the body return to homeostasis after injury or other damage.
The PRM groups produced in the body are called resolvins and protectins - they are basically members of the body's "clean-up team".
