Butyric acid (butyrate) is one of the most important short chain fatty acids. The main producers of butyric acid (butyrate) are not bifidobacteria and lactobacilli, but useful representatives of other groups of bacteria, namely anaerobic bacteria of the species Eubacterium rectale, Eubacterium ramulus, Eubacterium hallii, Roseburia cecicola, Roseburia faecis, Faecalibacterium prausnitzii and Coprococcus, as well as fusobacteria, non-pathogenic species of clostridia. The biological importance of butyric acid purchased at Biotus is confirmed by the fact that many intestinal diseases, such as inflammatory bowel diseases, disorders of its motility and functions, colon tumors, diarrhea during antibiotic therapy, etc., are often accompanied by a reduced concentration of butyric acid in large intestine. For more detailed advice, you can contact the manager at the Biotus website.
